The limited market for sole practitioners has shrunk still further. It had been believed that Zurich no longer want to insure small firms. (We now understand that Zurich are still in the market for sole practitioners, at least for your existing business, and maybe even for some new limited business in some cases).

We are expecting this year's renewal to be very tough. We strongly recommend that you complete your proposal forms carefully, fully and accurately and get them in as soon as possible. It is best not to send proposal forms to multiple brokers. Find out which brokers cover which insurers to avoid the same insurers seeing your proposal more than once.

SPG's Indemnity Committee and the Law Society are working together to try to improve the outlook for SPs during what looks to be a very difficult renewal season.
