All Sole Principals, and others, must be “qualified to supervise”. To meet that requirement it has become urgent for anyone supervising an office to have 12 hours Management Skills Training, probably by the end of 2005.

There are a complete set of proposed new Conduct Rules on The Law Society website at http://tinyurl.com/9uv3r. The new urgent requirement to have 12 hours Management Skills Training is a result of the proposed new Rule 5. When it becomes clearer what date the proposed new Rule 5 may be implemented, we will publish updated information here and in SOLO.

SPG has provided a lot of Management Skills Training e.g. at conferences, and it is intended to provide further Management Skills Training. When SPG provides further Management Skills Training, we will publish information here and in SOLO.
